A Brooklyn Apple Store could soon be a reality, as The New York Post reports Apple has signed a long-term lease for a 20,000 square foot store at 247 Bedford Avenue at the corner of North 3rd Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The New York Post:
No one involved would comment. The landlords, Red Sky Capital and Waterbridge, were represented by Lee NYC managing principal Peter Braus and his Brooklyn retail leasing team.
The two-story building is getting a new look, which features dramatic, arched windows. The remodeling is scheduled to be completed in April 2015.
The Post had no info on when Apple will be moving in, or how much it will be paying for the privilege. Braus told the Post back in 2012 that rents for the facility would run from $185 to $200 per square foot.
Apple already has a handful of retail stores in the New York City area, and rumors of a Brooklyn Apple Store have been circulating for quite awhile, citing numerous possible locations.
