Apple’s much-rumored “Apple One” subscription services bundle will launch in the near future, according to code found in the Android version of the Apple Music app by 9to5Google.
The publication reports that code found in the 3.4.0 beta of Apple Music for Android, confirming that the service will be included in the services bundle. Text included in the Android app code reads as follows:
Your Apple Music subscription will be included in Apple One starting %s. You will not be charged for both subscriptions.
You can manage your Apple One subscription using your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac.
The wording indicates that customers who upgrade to the Apple One bundle will not be double-charged for Apple Music. The bundle subscription can be managed on any iOS, Mac, or Apple TV device.
While the Android app code did not offer any other information, Bloomberg originally reported a rumor suggesting that the bundled service is set to launch in October, likely alongside the iPhone.
Apple is expected to offer several tiers of the Apple One service, including a basic tier that is expected to offer Apple Music and Apple TV+, with a second tier adding Apple Arcade. Another tier will include all of the aforementioned services along with Apple News+.
The highest tier of service will also include iCloud storage as part of the deal, and possibly a new fitness-oriented service offering virtual fitness classes.
While no bundle pricing has been leaked, Apple One subscribers can expect to see savings over purchasing the subscriptions on a separate basis, possibly saving $2 to more than $5 a month depending on the bundle chosen.
