iCloud.com Photos Upload Feature Now Available to The Public

The iCloud.com photos upload feature has emerged from developer-only testing, and is available to all iCloud.com users. The new “Upload” option appears next to the “Select Photos” option in the iCloud Photos area of iCloud.com

AppleInsider:

Clicking the “Upload” button allows users to add .JPG images to their iCloud Photo cache for browsing on iOS and Mac devices. The button brings up a Finder window from which users can select single images or batches of photos to send to iCloud.

Once uploaded to iCloud.com, the photos will then be pushed to any iOS devices or Macs that are signed into the iCloud account,. Users can also share the images with other users who have been granted access via iCloud Photo Sharing.

iCloud Photos is still labeled as “Beta,” and currently only supports .JPG files.
