If you’ve been wanting to get your hands on the Swype keyboard for iOS, but you’ve been turned off by the $0.99 price tag, now the time to grab it. Apple has named the third-party keyboard its iOS App of the Week. (Which means it’s free!)
The Swype gesture based keyboard allows users to drag their finger from key-to-key, (“Swyping” you might call it – Ed.), to quickly enter words on their iOS device. The keyboard also includes a predictive text engine and predictive punctuation to cut down on “Swypes.” (OK, that’s the last time I’ll do that, promise. – Ed.)
From the Swype App Store Page:
Swype is the most accurate keyboard on the planet. Whether you type or Swype we enable you to input words faster and easier. It learns the way you type so the more you use it, the smarter it gets.
