Sprint continues its aggressive campaign to woo iPhone customers into their wireless fold, as they’ve added a new 12-month plan to their “iPhone for Life” plan. The new option allows customers to trade their old iPhone in for a new one every 12 months.

The new plan now allows for annual upgrades and starts at $30 a month. It will also make the iPhone 5S available for lease. Both options take effect on November 14. In addition to the cost of the iPhone itself, customers need to sign up for a $50 plan for unlimited talk, text and data.
Print’s original “iPhone for Life” plan called for customers to pay as low as $20 a month to lease a new iPhone 6, which could then be traded in for a new model after two years.
Sprint is showing new life, aggressively pursuing new customers under new CEO Marcelo Claure. The company’s original “for Life” plan was intended to slow subscriber losses as Sprint customers left the carrier, lured by offers from rival carriers. Sprint is raising the stakes with its new offer.
A customer choosing a base 16GB iPhone 6 model will pay $30 a month under the new 12 month program, with the fee rising to $35 a month for a 64GB iPhone 6, and $40 a month for a 128GB iPhone 6. iPhone 6 Plus handsets will lease for $35 (16GB), $40 (64GB), and $45 (128GB) per month.
One note: under the iPhone for Life plans, customers do not own the iPhones. At the end of the agreed upon period, customers can continue to lease the device on a month-to-month basis, purchase the device outright, or turn it back over to Sprint.
Sprint will also make the iPhone 5S 32GB available for $21 per month and will lease the iPhone 5S 64GB for $24 per month.
