iFixit Publishes Online iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Repair Guides

It’s not something you want to think about, but did you know that you can actually repair your new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus if needed? The fine folks over at iFixit – the same group that loves to take apart and examine the latest electronic devices just to see what makes them tick – have published repair guides for Apple’s latest and greatest handsets.

9to5Mac:

For both devices iFixit has guides on the most common repairs including battery replacement, front panel assembly/display replacement, and getting out those nasty proprietary Pentalobe screws.

The iPhone 6 repair guides can be found here, while the repair guides for the iPhone 6 Plus can be found here.

The tutorials will walk you through the steps of repairing your device, and even contain handy links to purchase any tools you might need, but don’t already own.

If you’d like to see experts teardown an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus before attempting it yourself, you can always visit the iFixit site and view their excellent teardown videos.
