Prepaid cellular carrier Boost Mobile has announced that it will begin offering the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to its customers starting Friday, October 17. Boost already offers the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c to its customers.
Boost Mobile, a division of Sprint, offers a no-contract prepaid service that requires users to purchase their phones at full price and pair them with prepaid mobile cellular and data plans. Unlike its competitors, Boost offers the iPhone at a discounted price, taking $100 off the full retail price of each available model. Prices start at $549 for the 16 GB iPhone 6, with the iPhone 6 Plus priced at $649 for the entry-level 16 GB model.
A unit of Sprint, Boost Mobile offers only prepaid wireless service. You pay the full price for the phone you want. Then you pick a mobile plan and add money to your account to keep it going.
Boost’s plans all include unlimited text and talk, and data plans in 1GB, 5GB, and 10GB allotments. Until November 3, Boost is offering a $5 discount on its prepaid plans. Plan prices will cost $35 monthly for the 1GB plan, $45 monthly for the 5GB plan and $55 monthly for the 10GB plan.
