Apple released the sixth beta of OS X Yosemite to its beta testers on Monday. The release comes just short of a week after the release of the fifth beta of the operating system on Tuesday of last week.
Beta testers can download the OS X Yosemite beta 6 via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store.
OS X Yosemite will bring a flatter, smoother look to Macs, with a redesigned dock, windows, fonts and more. New features include improved integration with IOS 8, a new “Today” view in the Notification Center that offers integration with third-party apps, a retooled Spotlight, and more.
OS X Yosemite is expected to be unleashed on an eager public sometime shortly after Apple’s event on Thursday.
The Apple event is set for 1:00PM Eastern, 10:AM Pacific time on Thursday, October 16, and MacTrast will be live tweeting the event, with plenty of coverage about all the unveilings immediately following the event.
