If you’re holding your breath waiting for Apple to introduce a new 12-inch Retina display MacBook Air at Thursday’s event, you might want to take a sweet sip of oxygen, because it’s not happening.
A new report from Re/code says the Retina MacBook Air will NOT be unveiled at Thursday’s media event:
“Sources familiar with Apple’s plans tell me that the company’s latest reimagining of the ultralight laptop won’t be shown off at its Thursday event. As I reported earlier this month, this event will be headlined by Apple’s latest iPads, a new hi-res iMac and OS X Yosemite.”
While many, (this reporter included), continue to hold out hope for the intro of an updated Mac mini, we’re not likely to see that happen.
The Apple event is set for 1:00PM Eastern, 10:AM Pacific time on Thursday, October 16, and MacTrast will be live tweeting the event, with plenty of coverage about all the unveilings immediately following the event.
