Two new leaks out of China this weekend claim to show photos and video of Apple’s next-generation “iPhone 6” showing the device operating, and indicating credit card/mobile payments support for Passbook.
A set of photos posted to Chinese website cnBeta.com, sourced from Weibo user “zzray, purportedly offers one of the first looks at a fully functional next-generation 4.7-inch iPhone.
The photos set includes a side-by-side comparison of the new device with an iPhone 5s, shows shots of what is allegedly an iOS 8 home screen scaled to 4.7-inches, a phone information screen, and more. The set also shows a tweaked Passbook app icon with a graphic representing a credit card.
Hot on the heels of the photos, videos posted to Chinese video sharing site MiaoPai show what appears to be a working iPhone 6 showing its operation, running various apps, including the new Health app, and running through settings, and demoing the device’s Touch ID sensor.
All of these could be authentic, or simply very clever fakes, we’ll know for sure on Tuesday, September 9th.
Are these photos and videos for real, or simply amazingly lifelike simulations? What do you think, dear reader? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
