Microsoft has updated its Word, Excel, and Powerpoint iPad apps to allow the purchase of a monthly Office 365 subscription. The app previously restricted the in-app purchase of a Office 365 subscription to a yearly membership.
You asked for more flexibility in signing up for Office 365 subscriptions on iPad. So starting today, you can buy a monthly subscription to Office 365 from within Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for iPad. You can choose between Office 365 Personal and Office 365 Home.
Office 365 Personal is designed to for users who want to use Office on one Mac or PC, plus one tablet, while Office 365 Home allows up to five Macs or PCs, plus five tablets to use Office 365.
Office 365 Personal runs $6.99 per month, while Office 365 Home goes for $9.99 per month.
Microsoft Word for iPad, Excel for iPad, and Powerpoint for iPad are all available in the App Store.
