Some things are cherished traditions, and the launch day teardown of a new iPhone is one the folks at iFixit hold near and dear to their hearts. Here’s what they found in the iPhone 6 Plus. (The iPhone 6 teardown is soon to follow.)
Taking apart the iPhone 6 Plus, the first thing that stands out is the massive battery, it comes in at 2915 mAh, that is almost twice the capacity of the iPhone 5s. SWEET!

iFixit gave the iPhone 6 Plus a repairability score of 7 out of 10, which is bump up from the iPhone 5s’ score of 6 out of 10. The differential in the score can be attributed to the absence of a cable connecting the Touch ID Home button to the Lightning port. (The cable could be easily torn if you weren’t careful opening the device.)
