Belkin on Tuesday announced their new Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock HD with cable. The docking solution includes two Thunderbolt 2 ports, allowing you to connect up to 8 devices with support for daisy-chaining up to an additional four Thunderbolt devices.
The Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock HD boasts eight ports including support for HDMI, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, audio and Thunderbolt 2. Video can be displayed via the HDMI or Thunderbolt 2 ports, at a resolution of up to 4K. It also offers Thunderbolt 2 data transfer speeds of up to 20Gbps, which is two times faster than Thunderbolt, four times faster than USB 3.0 and up to 25 times faster than FireWire 800.

The new dock is equipped with the following ports:
System requirements are a computer with a Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 port, running Mac OS X v10.9 or later, or Windows 7 or 8. PC users will need to download Windows system drivers at the Belkin website. 4K resolution supported only on Mac OS X 10.10.
Thunderbolt™ 2 Express Dock HD with cable is available now at the Belkin website, and should start hitting stores nationwide – the Apple Store included – in October for a MSRP of $299.99.
