Apple Stops Signing iOS 7.1.2, Downgrading from iOS 8 No Longer Possible

iClarified reports that Apple stopped signing the iOS 7.1.2 firmware on Friday, which means iOS 8 users not satisfied with the new version of iOS will not be allowed to downgrade their devices back to iOS 7.1.2.

This isn’t unusual, as the company usually stops signing the previous version of iOS soon after the release of a new version. iOS 8 was released to the general public on September 17th.

The only version of iOS 7.1.2 that is still being signed is for iPhone 4 users, as that device is incompatible with iOS 8.
