Apple Releases iOS 8.0.2 – Addresses Cellular and Touch ID Issues on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Apple has released iOS 8.0.2 to address the issues that arose in yesterday’s 8.0.1 update on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets. The new release includes all of the fixes from 8.0.1, as well as fixing the cellular connection and Touch ID issues on Apple’s newest handsets.

The update is rolling out, and should appear soon as an  option for an Over The Air update on your iOS device. iOS 8.0.2 downloads are also available from: http://istheapplestoredown.com/ios

iOS 8.0.1 included a fix for a HealthKit issue that was discovered just before the release of iOS 8, causing Apple to hold all HealthKit enabled apps from the App Store. Those apps should soon appear on the App Store.

Good luck!

Update: Apple says less than 40,000 iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets were affected by yesterdays iOS 8.0.2 FUBAR’ed release.
