The Event Begins!
The iPhone looks like most of the leaks.
Two sizes, iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus!
4.7-inch for the iPhone 6, 5.5-inches for iPhone 6 Plus.
Pixels: 1334 x 750 and 1920 x 1080.
Over 1 million pixels for the iPhone 6, 2 million pixels for the 6 Plus.
The 6 Plus has 185% more pixels than the 5S.
Thinner than any phone Apple has ever made.
iPhone 6 is 6.9 mm. iPhone 6 Plus is just a bit thicker at 7.1 mm.
Apps will show more info than ever.
Built-in apps will have horizontal view, virtual keyboard takes advantage of added space.
The Home Screen can go horizontal too!
New gesture for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus called “reachability.”
Double-touch the home button and the whole display slides down, so you can reach the top buttons.
The power button is on the side now.
Apps not updated for iPhone 6 will simply “scale up.”
Powered by Apple A8. It’s a 64-bit chip. 2 billion transistors, on a 20nm process. It’s 13% smaller than the A7.
Phil Schiller says the A8 is 20% faster, 50% faster graphics.
Battery life: equal or better. The iPhone 6 Plus will do 24 hours of 3G talk time.
The M8 “motion coprocessor.”
M8 measures relative elevation via a built-in barometer.
iPhone 6 supports VoLTE, which is Voice over LTE.
Wi-Fi Calling.
3X faster Wi-Fi.
Camera time…
8MP iSight camera. Round True Tone Flash.
Faster autofocus, over twice the speed of previous models.
Panoramas can now be up to 43 megapixels.
Face detection is faster, and blink/smile detection is better too.
The iPhone 6 has “digital” image stabilization, while the 6 Plus boasts optical image stabilization.
1080p video at 30 or 60 FPS. Slo-Mo capable of 240 FPS. (WOW!)
Cameras can do “cinematic video stabilization.”
Continuous autofocus works automatically in video.

Using credit cards are SO difficult!

Apple can use credit cards on file with iTunes and App Stores, but you can also add credit cards to Passbook by taking a photo of your credit card.
Uses one-time payment number and security code.
Credit card is not stored on device. So no need to cancel credit cards if your iPhone is lost or stolen.
“Find My iPhone” can shut down Apple Pay remotely.
Cashier doesn’t see your CC number or security code.
80% of all credit card volume can be handled by Apple Pay.
220,000 merchant locations. Walgreen, Macy’s, Staples, Subway, McDonald’s (Apple Pay in their Drive Thru’s), Whole Foods (Big cheer from crowd), Disney stores and Disney World, and of course Apple Retail Stores.
Online transactions
One touch checkout, no sharing of credit card with merchant. No need to enter billing info.
Target, Groupon, Uber, MLB, OpenTable are adding Apple Pay to apps. Use Apple Pay to pay for your check via OpenTable/Apple Pay.
Apple Pay with every iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus.
Apple Pay API will be available to developers.
