Apple has updated its support information to include repair pricing for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to users in the United States. While all new devices include a one year warranty, that warranty does not include coverage for accidental damage.
Screen damage repairs, including cracked or shattered displays, will cost $109 for the iPhone 6, and will run $129 for the iPhone 6 Plus’s larger screen. There will also be a $6.95 shipping fee.
Fixing accidental damage, such as water damage, to an iPhone will require a fee of $299 for the iPhone 6 or $329 for the iPhone 6 Plus, plus a $6.95 shipping fee.
There is also a flat $79 fee for replacing the battery on either device, however defective batteries are covered for one year under the standard warranty.
As always, Apple does offer AppleCare+, which extends the standard warranty and support to two years, while also covering two incidents of accidental damage for a $79 service fee for each incident. Apple offers AppleCare+ for $99 in the U.S.
