One of the most entertaining video series currently running on the web is the “Kids React” series. We previously showed you their reactions to an Apple II home computer. This time around, the technology is even more ancient. It’s a manual typewriter.
The typewriter featured in this episode is a Remington Quiet-riter. It was sold from 1952 – 1959, and it sold for an average of around $100. (Around $1,000 in today’s dollars.) Below, you can see a Quiet-riter commercial that ran on television in 1958.
