New Photos Confirm iPhone 6 NFC Chip From NXP

Numerous rumors and reports have been swirling about recently that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6 will include a near field communications (NFC) chip from NXP. The new chip would potentially be part of a mobile payment initiative from Apple. The existence of the iPhone 6 NFC chip appear to have been confirmed, via new photos from luxury iPhone modifier Feld & Volk and Sonny Dickson.

MacRumors:

Luxury modified iPhone vendor Feld & Volk [Instagram page], which has shared a number of claimed parts from the iPhone 6 in recent weeks, has now gotten its hands on a complete logic board for the device.

The company shared a few photos of the logic board with Sonny Dickson, revealing the board’s NFC chip from NXP.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6 on September 9. The new handsets are expected to include a fast A8 processor, a thinner more rounded body, and improved cameras on both models.

Also, Re/Code reported yesterday that Apple will also be introducing the much anticipated “iWatch” wearable device at the September 9th event.
