Kickstarter of the Week: SSSSSpeaker: Sweet Sounds of Silicone

What would you say to a collapsable Bluetooth speaker that looks kind of like a badminton shuttlecock , comes in cool colors, and can be muted by simply turning it upside-down? Just smile and say “Hello SSSSSpeaker.” Our Kickstarter of the Week.

From the SSSSSpeaker Kickstarter site:

Bright. Collapsible. Portable. Fancy. Light. 3 types of gooooooood sound. It’s all about portable Bluetooth SSSSSpeaker by aiia.

This little speaker is about the size of a hockey puck, weighs just 2.5 ounces, and collapses when not in use. The SSSSSpeaker plays for around 5 hours on a single charge, and can be muted by simply turning it upside-down.

The speaker’s sound changes with how far you expand it. (The SSSSSpeaker collapses like those travel cups your grandma always had in her purse.)

This is a great little speaker, and we look forward to doing a full review if the project is funded. (The project has 4 days to go as of this article, and the drive still needs to raise around $10,000 more to fund.)

This looks like a worthy project, and it has some nice reward levels for various pledges. Levels start at $1 (a thank-you email), and go all the way up to $5,000. (The chance to travel to meet the SSSSSpeaker’s creators, and partner with them as a distributor.) $26 gets you a SSSSSpeaker, and $39 will get you one with whatever you’d like engraved on it. Very cool.

If the SSSSSpeaker sounds like something you’d like to have handy at your next shindig or badminton tournament, be sure to visit the SSSSSpeaker Kickstarter site and pledge for the project.

Have you seen, or even better yet do you have, a current Kickstarter or Indiegogo project you’d like us to check out? If you do then drop me a line at chris@mactrast.com. Tell me all about the project, and why you think it would make a good subject for a future Kickstarter/Indiegogo Project of the Week. If I agree, I’ll contact you for more information.
