Apple has released the second OS X Yosemite public beta, on the heels of the release of Developer Preview 6 of the OS to developers earlier this week. Apple has also released a new version of iTunes 12 for Yosemite.
AppleInsider notes that the release notes of OS X Yosemite Beta 2 do not offer any indications of what changes may be included. The listing on the Mac App Store simply states that the update “is recommended for all users.”
The updated iTunes 12 build (build 97) is said to have an improved design with more consistency throughout. It also includes new icons for Music, Movies, TV shows, and other media sections.
Both updates can be downloaded via the Update tab in the Mac App Store for those users already running the initial beta release of Yosemite.
OS X Yosemite is expected to be released in October, possibly following an Apple event that may debut new iPads and possibly the much-anticipated “iWatch”.
