Apple has released iTunes 11.3, which includes several improvements to iTunes Extras, with new features for HD movies on the Mac. The new content will be automatically added to previously purchased movies for free.
Apple has also announced that the Apple TV will once more support iTunes Extras with the 6.2 software update released in late June. Apple’s first-generation set top box supported iTunes Extras, but lost the feature with the release of the revamped Apple TV in 2010.
iTunes Extras will also be coming to iOS in the public release of iOS 8, scheduled for the fall. iTunes Extras includes additional content, such as behind-the-scenes video, commentary, image galleries, and more.
iTunes 11.3 can be updated from the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store, or downloaded via Apple’s iTunes web page.
The Apple TV update, version 6.2, is available now as an over-the-air update.
