Apple has sent out an email to customers about their state’s upcoming no-tax holiday. The emails, sent to customers in the nine U.S. states with a no-tax holiday, reminds customers that they can buy Apple products, including computers and software – either in their local Apple Stores or online – and pay no sales tax during their state’s no-tax period.
From the Apple Email:
If your state offers a tax holiday this summer, you can buy select Apple products without paying sales tax.* When shopping online, sales tax will appear during checkout, but you’ll see the correct tax amount on your email order confirmation.
Participating States, and Their No-Tax Holiday Dates, are:
- Alabama (August 1, 2014, – August 3, 2014)
- Florida (August 1, 2014, – August 3, 2014)
- Georgia (August 1, 2014, – August 2, 2014)
- Louisiana (August 1, 2014, – August 2, 2014)
- Massachusetts (No-Tax Holiday Pending Legislation)
- Missouri (August 1, 2014, – August 3, 2014)
- New Mexico (August 1, 2014, – August 3, 2014)
- South Carolina (August 1, 2014, – August 3, 2014)
- Tennessee (August 1, 2014, – August 3, 2014)
