Apple has released its EFI Firmware Update, version 2.9 for 2011 MacBook Air models, after the original update caused trouble for various MacBook Air users.
The original update, (version 2.9), was released on July 15th, and was intended to address sleep/wake issues with the ultralight laptop. The original update caused some MacBook Airs to shut down completely for several hours, while on others the update simply refused to install. The new update, (version 2.9.1), is designed to fix those issues, as well as the original fixes.
The update is available for 2011 MacBook Airs in the Mac App Store, or can also be downloaded via the Apple Support website.
