Discount retail chain Walmart has has made the 16GB iPhone 5c and the 16 GB iPhone 5s quite a bit more affordable for its customers, dropping the price of the iPhone 5c down to $29, (down from $49), and the iPhone 5s to $99, down from $149.
Engadget reports that while the retailer has dropped price like this in the past for temporary promotions, this price drop is permanent. The 32GB model of each phone is expected to get a similarly reduced price, but no details on pricing for those models are available.
The price drop should take place at stores at 9AM local time. The pricing is only available in-store. iPhones for all four major wireless carriers are available. All pricing on a two-year contract.
