Some MacTrast readers are reporting their device running iOS 8 Beta 2 locks up when they are editing a message in the Messages app and they switch to the Emoji keyboard.
Mactrast readers reported this to us via Twitter:
@MacTrast Transitioning from the Apple Default Keyboard to the Emoji Keyboard in the Messaging app freezes the app all together. #iOS8beta2

@MacTrast I am also experiencing it. I don't find any workaround as of now.

While other users, MacTrast’s own Ian Fuchs included, reported no issues with the keyboard, and helpful gent that he is, suggested some remedies:
@MacTrast @ZacharyDonovan I can swap between the 2 just fine on iOS8b2… did you try a hard restart? or disabling emoji and re-enabling?

Meanwhile, over at the MacRumors forum, one reader believes the issue is connected to the predictive keyboard…
The only device this reporter has access to that is running iOS 8 Beta 2 is an iPad Air, and it is showing no signs of any of the lock up issue. So, at this point in time we haven’t been able to confirm the issue. We are keeping our eyes open for any other reports.
How about you? Have you experienced any issues with the keyboard while messaging in iOS 8 Beta 2? If so, let us know on Twitter, or in the comments section below…
