European Union antitrust regulators will hand down a decision by July 30th on whether or not they’ll OK Apple’s $3 billion grab of Beat Electronics/Beats Music.
The Commission can either approve the deal unconditionally, or demand changes if it sees that there are competition issues. The Commission also has the option to open an investigation into the deal if it has deeper concerns.
Apple announced the $3 billion acquisition of Beats Electronics, and its Beats Music service last month.
