Angry Bird publisher Rovio has launched a new title in the iOS App Store, that at first blush, might seem like an Angry Birds clone. However, the trailer for the game shows off some interesting gameplay mechanics that should set it apart from the thousands of other “flappy” games.

From the guys sitting in the room next to the guys who made Angry Birds, comes RETRY – a game so hard, so addictive, so old school that you’ll think you’ve stepped into an 8-bit time machine and gone back to 1986. Totally rad!
Retry is the debut release from Rovio’s latest publishing arm “Rovio LVL 11.” Gamasutra reports that LVL 11 will publish new titles that don’t quite fit in with Rovio’s blockbuster Angry Birds universe.
Retry is currently available in the iOS App Store in Canada, Finland, and Poland. However, it is expected to arrive in other countries, including the United States, in the near future.
