The Pixelmator Team has unveiled the latest update to their popular Photoshop alternative for the Mac. Pixelmator version 3.2 brings such enhancements as the ability to work with 16-bits of color per channel, a tool to remove unwanted objects from images, and the ability to lock specific layers.
The app’s new Repair Tool has been “redeveloped from the inside out.” The tool allows users to remove an object from an image by simply painting over the object with broad strokes. The new Repair Tool has three options for users: quick, standard, and advanced repairs.
Also added is the ability to work with 16-bits of color per channel. In addition, layers can be individually locked. The company also claims they’ve included “a number of improvements, user interface enhancements, and fixes related to stability and reliability.”
