Luxury car maker Bentley’s latest ad, Intelligent Details, was filmed and edited entirely on Apple’s iOS devices. The video was shot on the iPhone 5s, and then assembled using an iPad Air.
Shot in New York, a quick behind the scenes look at the black and white film on the $300,000 Bentley Mulsanne reveals that it was filmed with an iPhone 5s, using specialized lenses, mounts, and cases to produce high-quality video on par with far more expensive camera equipment.
The video was then put together using an iPad Air, running Apple’s iMovie app with the aid of a custom keyboard case. A good amount of the editing was done on the go in the back of a Bentley. An excellent demonstration of the iOS device’s mobile capabilities.
Apple’s devices have been used in the past to film events, and even movies, with fashion retailer Burberry filming its entire Spring/Summer runway show with nothing but an iPhone 5s, and 2013 Academy Award winning documentary Searching for Sugarman being partially shot on an iPhone
