Apple has updated its iAd Producer tool to version 4.2. The update brings support for creating full-screen banner ads for the iPhone, the ability to upload Producer projects to iAd Workbench, and the ever popular bug fixes and performance improvements.
The latest update comes nearly two months after Apple expanded Workbench access to include anyone with an Apple ID. Previously, the mobile ad creation tool was restricted to registered developers.

iAd Producer makes it easy for you to design and assemble rich interactive content without any programming.This release contains a number of enhancements and fixes, including:
- Support for creating full-screen iPhone banners.
- Support for uploading iAd Producer projects to iAd Workbench.
- Folder reorganization in the Assets sidebar.
- Other fixes and improvements.
iAd Producer includes:
- A single-window interface for viewing and editing layouts and settings.
- Project templates with pre-built structure including banners, splash pages, and menus.
- An extensive library of interactive elements.
- Sophisticated object animation tools
- Advanced JavaScript code editing and debugging.
- Simulation for Mac and iOS devices.
Thursday’s update is part of a continuing effort to woo various advertisers to the iOS-only ad platform that normally haven’t looked Apple’s way. The iOS ad platform now also deals in streaming music spots. December saw Apple realign its iAd team to cover ads for iTunes Radio.
