Research firm ChangeWave has published the results of their latest survey, and it shows interest in a larger-screen iPhone 6 is running at an all-time high among early-adopters and professionals.
40% of respondents indicated they are ‘very likely’ or ‘somewhat likely’ to buy an iPhone 6 that is described as having a “larger screen size” and a “faster processor” along with an “updated iOS operating system” at a starting price of $199 with a two year contract.
ChangeWave says this is the highest level of demand for an unannounced iPhone model in a ChangeWave survey – higher than previous years before the iPhone 5 and 5s models were announced.
Internal memos submitted as evidence in the second ongoing Samsung v. Apple trial show that Apple is aware their customers want a phone that is less expensive, and sports a larger screen.
As is customary, Apple will unveil its next-generation iPhone later this year. Rumors indicate the iPhone 6 may come in two screen sizes, one with a 4.7-inch screen, and a second model, releaszed later in the year, that will sport a 5.5-inch screen.
