If you’re like me, you like to send funny videos and photos to your friends and family. Stryke, the great socially connected app from Global Delight Technologies, allows you to “troll” your friends with animated videos you make yourself from videos you have on your iPhone’s camera roll.
Overview
You can use existing videos, or make a new one to use to create a “troll” to send to your friends. Each “Stryke” you send to your friends gains a point for you. Any friends that have the Stryke app can also troll you back, so be prepared for their attempt to score a point against you.
Using the Stryke tools, you can select the portion of a video that will loop over and over. The results are funnier than you might think. You can also music and meme type text to your “troll” video before sending the video to your friends.
The entire troll process consists only 3 steps.
Step 1: Select the video that you want to use, then pick a section of the video to use for your animated troll.
Step 2: Add text and music to your animation. You can add music from your device or turn it off completely.
Step 3: Select which of your friends you want to “Stryke” with your troll, and decide if you want to share the video on any social networks.
Chatting inside the app adds to the fun. You can chat with any of your friends who also use the app. You can also insert one of your videos into the chat, and use any of the numerous “Stickers” to express yourself.
Stryke hasn’t been around too long in the App Store, so it doesn’t have a huge amount of users yet, although the number of users is growing every day. You can send a Stryke vid to a friend that doesn’t have the app yet, and invite them to download the app and join in.
You can also create or join groups, where you can send and receive vids and also chat back and forth.
All the troll videos you create are saved in your library, so you can use them any time you wish.
Verdict
Stryke has great potential to develop as a fun app. The app is free, so I highly recommend you download it and give it a try. Creating “troll” videos is fun and quite simple, and the results are quite comical. Especially if you have a handy feline or canine hanging out with you.
While the user base is small at this time, it is growing, and the ability to send “trolls” to your friends and allow them to download the app almost guarantees the user base will increase quickly.
