Flexibits has finally brought their popular calendaring app Fantastical 2 to the iPad, and it looks terrific. The app includes an integrated calendar and reminders list, a revamped calendar parser, dictation feature and more.
From The Fantastical 2 App Store page:
Just enter “Lunch with Elon in Palo Alto on Friday” and Fantastical 2 will schedule it! Or type in “todo buy milk at 5pm” and a reminder will alert you at 5PM! With dictation*, you can even speak the details for your event or reminder and Fantastical 2 will take care of it.
The new app features the Fantastical Dashboard. Specifically designed for the iPad, it puts all event and reminders at your fingertips. Gestures allow you to toggle between the DayTicker, a week view, and a full-screen week view. The DayTicker, week view, calendar, and event list are all connected, allowing you to mange your events and reminders more efficiently.
Creating an event or reminder consists of tapping and holding on a date, then typing or speaking the details for the entry, (not available on the iPad 2), and then tapping “Add.”
Entering or speaking “Lunch with Julie in Nashville at noon on Friday,” will result in an event being scheduled. Fantastical’s natural language engine allows you to make entries in your own style. The engine also recognizes holidays, days of the week, the location of your event, repeating events, and more.
The Fantastical Dashboard works in portrait or landscape, and allows you to toggle between dark and light themes.
Fantastical also works with the same calendar accounts you’ve setup in the iOS 7 calendar, so the Fantastical calendar is ready to go from the first launch.
Fantastical 2 for iPad is available for the iPad for $9.99, (for a limited time), in the App Store [DIRECT LINK]
Fantastical 2 is also available for the iPhone in the App Store ($4.99), while Fantastical is available for the Mac in the Mac App Store for $19.99.
