Apple Hires Wolff Olins CEO Karl Heiselman For New Marketing Role

As Apple looks to improve its advertising efforts, the company has added an impressive new member to its marketing team. Ad Age reports that Apple has hired Karl Heiselman, who is currently the CEO of the Wolff Olins branding agency.

9to5Mac:

Heiselman will take on an undisclosed role in the company’s marketing arm next month, he confirmed. This won’t be the executive’s first time in Cupertino. Heiselman previously worked for Apple in the ’90s as a design contractor.

Heiselman led many high-profile branding efforts at Wolff Olins, including (PRODUCT) RED for Bono, the 2012 London Olympics, and numerous Microsoft campaigns.

The recent testimony during the Apple v. Samsung trial indicate the Cupertino firm is struggling to reestablish its identity as a leader in electronic devices. It was reported last week that Apple was looking to hire as many as four new digital ad agencies.
