iTunes Connect Issue Prevents New Apps and Updates for Developers

Developers from around the world are reporting critical issues with iTunes Connect that is preventing them form deploying new and updated apps to the App Store. This comes just over a month after a similar issue struck the service.

9to5Mac:

Apple has noted the disruption on its developer system status page with a brief message: “Some users are experiencing a problem with [iTunes Connect].” The system status page lists the service disruption as occurring around 8 PM EST yesterday, but developers first began reporting problems with app and update submissions much earlier on Wednesday.

No other issues are appearing on the developer services page, nor are any of the consumer services reporting any issues. Apple has not offered a timeline for resolution of the issue, nor has it commented on the cause of the outage.

Update – The outage appears over, and 9to5Mac reports that Apple says updates are again going through. Apple’s System Status Page for Developer Services shows the system came back online around 1:00 PM Eastern.
