Just 24 hours after its release, iOS 7.1 was already on 5.9% of iOS devices in North America. The report comes from analytics firm Chitika, who measured ad impressions from tens of millions of iOS-based devices in the U.S. and Canada from March 9 to March 11. 2014.
MacRumors notes that the adoption rates are similar to those of iOS 7.0.6, which contained a critical security fix, and had a 13.3% adoption rate 48 hours after its release, and a 25% adoption rate after four days.
iOS 7 users generated over 80% of all iOS web traffic during the measuring period. That number has remained steady since Chitika’s last study, back on February 26th.
