The full Microsoft Office suite of apps – Word, Excel, and Powerpoint – are now available for download for the iPad in the App Store. The apps are a free download, but it will cost you a subscription to Microsoft’s Office 365, ($99 a year but you can get it cheaper at Amazon), in order to use the app’s editing functions.

Am I the only one picking up a theme here? And I truly love the fact that after months of Surface commercials that pounded on the fact the iPad “has no keyboard,” Microsoft proudly mentions for all three apps: “No keyboard required.”
I’m downloading the apps as I type, and will be taking a run at using them, (for some reason, I am an Office 365 subscriber), and will report back later.
Microsoft Word for iPad, Excel for iPad, and Powerpoint for iPad are all available free, (well, kinda – See the first paragraph above), in the App Store.
