We’ve never had the pleasure of testing a “bulletproof” iPhone and iPad screen protector with an actual gun and bullets, but the lucky folks over at Ars Technica have, and it’s pretty cool…
Ars Technica, via 9to5Mac:
I couldn’t let a “bulletproof” claim stand without challenge. Al Trug and the Clear Creek Gun Range graciously agreed to let me come in before regular hours on a weekday morning and mount the second Holy Grail review sample up on one of their targets, this time affixed to my friend Matt’s old iPhone 4.
It turns out that “Matt’s old iPhone 4” was in actuality “Matt’s wife’s old iPhone 4,” but…
Reviewer Lee Hutchinson had already attacked a first sample of the screen protector by running it over with his car, and stabbing it with a screwdriver.
It looks like MacTrast is going to have to step up our screen protector reviews. Any excuse to get the Springfield XD-40 out of the gun safe…
