Apple Seeds New Betas of OS X 10.9.3 and iTunes 11.1.6 to Developers – Restores Contacts and Calendar Syncing in iTunes

Thursday saw Apple seed the latest betas of OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 and iTunes 11.1.6 to developers. The new betas restore contacts and calendar syncing in iTunes.

AppleInsider notes that the latest OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 build 13D21 comes one week after the last beta was dropped, and Apple is once again requesting that developers focus on graphics drivers and audio enhancements.

The new seeds of OS X and iTunes restore local iTunes syncing of calendar and contacts data over USB and Wi-Fi. That feature is absent in the current version of iTunes, in favor of syncing via iCloud.

Developers can download the new beta builds from the Apple Developer Portal or via Software Update.
