Apple has updated their iOS adoption numbers – measured by way of usage numbers from its App Store – and they show iOS 7 is now being used by 85% of iOS device users, while iOS 6 has slipped to a 12% device share.
As noted by TNW, Apple currently appears to include iOS 7.1 in the iOS 7 numbers, so we don’t know exactly how many devices have been updated to the latest and greatest version of Apple’s mobile operating system.
The latest numbers compare to Apple’s numbers from December 1, 2013, when 74% of users were on iOS 7, 22% were on iOS 6, and 4% were on earlier versions.
