“Social Network” director David Fincher is reportedly in talks to direct the Aaron Sorkin-scribed Steve Jobs biographical film at Sony. Sorkin is reported to have finished the script for the flick last month, which is believed to take place across three 30-minute scenes leading up to three Jobs-led product launches.
Fincher has experience with broad-appeal Silicon Valley films after his Oscar-winning turn with the The Social Network — also written by Sorkin — which won three Academy Awards and was nominated for five more, including Best Picture and Best Director.
Fincher’s other directing credits include Fight Club, Panic Room, and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. (The American version.)
No actors have as yet been cast for the biopic. Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak is working as a consultant for the film, whose release date is still up in the air.
