Apple Gives Online Retail Store Section an iOS 7 Inspired Makeover

Apple has unveiled an iOS 7 inspired makeover of the online retail store section of its website. The new design features “flat” graphics and large amounts of white space.

AppleInsider:

With the new look, Apple has brought the informational retail section more in line with the rest of the website, which has moved from skeuomorphic graphics to a “flatter” design representative of iOS 7. The tweaked page was first spotted by ifo Apple Store.

The online Apple Store and the product pages were switched to an iOS 7 influenced design soon after the launch of the new iOS version. However, the retail location landing page was stuck with the previous layout.

The retail pages now have the “flat” look so well known in iOS 7, with an absence of drop-shadows, “pressible” buttons, and gray backgrounds. Text and images are set into one continuous flow.

Other retail pages have taken similar design cues, including the Apple Store locations list.

Apple is known to redesign its online presence from time to time in order to reflect the company’s current operating systems.
