Two weeks after the previous beta, Apple has released iOS 7.1 Beta 5 to developers. The update has a build number of 11D5145e.
The release notes for the iOS 7.1 beta 5 says it includes new natural-sounding Siri voices for English (Australia), English (United Kingdom), Japanese, and Chinese (Mandarin – China). The notes say a compact version of Siri is bundled with the new languages release, but it can be expanded to a more natural voice following installation.
The iOS device initially uses a compact voice for Siri. After you have configured a Wi-Fi network and have the device connected to a power source, iOS will automatically download and install a higher quality version.
The new beta is available as an OTA download for users already running beta 4 of the update on their device, and it is also available via the Apple Dev Center for registered developers.
Xcode 5.1 Beta 5 and Apple TV Software Beta 5 were released alongside the iOS release.
