Apple Continues to Grab New Top-Level Domain Names – Snags ‘.technology’ Domains

New generic top-level domains (gTLDs) have been made available this week, and as they have in the past, Apple has made moves to claim some of the newly available domains.

The most relevant new gTLD for Apple is “.technology”, and the company has moved to secure several variants related to its products

Some of the variants the company snagged include:

Recent domains grabbed up by Apple include those in the .guru and .camera and .photography families.

Apple grabs up such domains related to its trademarks in order to protect them from registration by other parties.

Also of note, Apple has registered another TLD related to geography, applestore.berlin, which lists the address of its flagship Kurfürstendamm store – which opened last year – on its registration.
