Monday afternoon saw Apple release the fourth beta of iOS 7.1 to developers. While the new release focused on bug fixes and behind the scenes improvements, there were a few visual tweaks to the interface.
While iOS 7.1 beta 3 introduced several visual changes, iOS 7.1 beta 4 focused more heavily on behind-the-scenes improvements. There were, however, a few tweaks to further streamline the look of iOS 7, which are detailed below.
Slide to Unlock/Power Off
The Slide to Unlock bar at the bottom of the phone is more prominent, featuring a brighter, slower animation. He same change in the animation can be seen in the “Slide to Power Off” bar when turning off your iPhone.
Contacts in Dialer
The option to add a contact has been slightly changed, and is now accessed by tapping the “+” next to the phone number.
MacRumors also reports a little more “bounce” when scrolling through the Messages app, and also reports there is a new Siri voice for the iPad. (U.K. Only.)
No word yet on when iOS 7.1 will be released to the public, but previous reports have suggested a March launch for the update. We’ll keep you posted.
