How to View a List of Every Single App Installed on Your iOS Device

If you’re like a lot of iPhone or iPad power users, or have had an iOS device for a long time, changes are you have a whole mess of apps installed on your device. Even if you organize your apps into folders, it can be hard to keep track of what exactly you have installed – and which folder you abandoned carefully filed an app into.

Fortunately, there’s an easy way to get a list of each app installed on your device from right within iOS – and thanks to some snazzy new Spotlight features in iOS 7, you can even find out which folder they are in. To do this, simply drag down on your home screen to reveal a search field. Then, simply enter a single character, such as a backslash, into that field (any special character will do, like a period or a dash), and PRESTO! Every single app installed on your device!

While the list may be a but cumbersome to navigate, it will do a good job of reminding you about that app you need and happen to have forgot the name of. This works on all iOS devices, including the iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad, as long as they are running iOS 7.
