Apple has announced their “Best of 2013” list, honoring songs, books, apps, movies, TV shows, and podcasts that they say were the best among those released in 2013.

- Artist of the Year: Justin Timberlake
- Album of the Year: The Heist (Deluxe Edition)
- Song of the Year: Royals by Lorde
- Breakthrough Artist: Kendrick Lamar
Apps:
- iPhone App of the Year: Duolingo
- iPhone Game of the Year: Ridiculous Fishing
- iPad App of the Year: Disney Animated
- iPad Game of the Year: Badland
Movies:
- Best Movie: Gravity
- Best Animated Movie: Despicable Me 2
- Best Male Performance: 12 Years a Slave
- Best Female Performance: Blue Jasmine
Books:
- Best in Fiction: Tenth of December
- Best in Nonfiction: One Summer
- Best Teen Novel: The Rithmatist
- Best Made for iBooks: Breaking Bad: Alchemy
TV Shows:
- TV Show of the Year: Breaking Bad: Deluxe Edition: The Final Season
- Best Breakthrough: Scandal, Season 3
- Best Discovery: Orphan Black
- Best Reality TV: Duck Dynasty, Season 4
Podcasts:
- Best New Video Podcast: AsapScience
