Logitech’s PowerShell iOS 7 Game Controller Now on Sale

Logitech has announced the PowerShell game controller for the iPhone 5/5s and the fifth-generation iPod Touch. The controller plugs into the Lightning port on the devices, and supplies console-style controls, with a directional pad, and shoulder and face buttons.

MacRumors:

The controller also allows for headphones to be connected through an included adapter, and also leaves the volume up/down buttons, ring/silent switch, and power/sleep button of an iOS device fully accessible.

As seen in the MOGA Ace Power, also released this week, the Logitech controller also includes a battery that charges your device while you’re playing a game. The 1500 mAh battery will certainly come in handy during marathon gaming sessions. The PowerShell can be charged via its micro-USB port, and can be charged simultaneously with the iOS device.

Current games that support the controller include Dead Trigger 2Bastion, and Asphalt 8: AirborneFast & Furious 6: The GameMetalStorm AcesGalaxy On Fire 2 HD and Nitro, among others. Additional developers should soon be building controller support into their games now that the controllers are making the scene.

The Logitech PowerShell Controller is available today for $99.99 from Bestbuy.com and the Apple Online Store. More stores are set to begin offering it in December.
