FiftyThree, the folks who created the popular iPad drawing app “Paper,” which was iPad App of the Year in 2012, have released their own Bluetooth stylus for use with the iPad, and it’s been tagged with the appropriate moniker of “Pencil.”
The Pencil includes a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts for about a month under normal use, includes trial versions of Paper’s in-app purchase add-ons like the Color Mixer, outline and sketch tools, and has a built-in eraser tool.
The stylus also includes built-in features for the popular Paper app, with support for color and line smudging. While the special features only work with the Paper app, the stylus can work in non-connected mode with any app on any touchscreen device.
The Pencil is priced at $49.95 USD for the metal bodied version, and $59.95 for the version sporting a Walnut body.
